Gaighat ( Udaypur), March 4: Agriculture Minister Haribol Gajurel has said the country’s new constitution is an outcome of the martyrs’ sacrifices. Unveiling statue of six individuals from the district who attained martyrdom at Hardeni VDC during the Maoist insurgency in the country, Minister Gajurel said martyrs’ sacrifices provided the way for promulgating the constitution, but its enforcement still remains a challenge.
Also speaking on the occasion, lawmaker Bhesh Kumari Raut underlined the need of implementation the constitution, as a real tribute to the martyrs. Raut contributed Rs 550,000 form the Parliamentary Fund to construct the statutes of Khadga Raut, Indra Kumari Shrestha, Prem Kumari Shrestha, Dev Kumari Damai, Dolraj Koirala and Lekh Bahadur Sunuwar. On the occasion, Minister Gajurel honoured the families of the six martyrs.
