With a view to providing employment to youth force in the country, the Ministry has initiated the process to select 1000 youths towards bee keeping, 2000 towards mushroom farming, 4,180 towards vegetable farming, 50 towards birds and livestock, 472 towards dairy, 160 towards goat farming, 200 towards fish-keeping, 92 towards pig farming and 920 towards vegetable farming.
At a regular press meet organized by the Department of Information at Ministry of Information, Ministry’s Assistant Spokesperson Shanker Sapkota said the task of selecting youths for different enterprises has been already initiated.
Some 39 directives/work procedures have been formulated to make agro-focused programme practical, effective and agriculture-friendly, he said, adding that 50 goats of high-breed species have been brought from US for the production of nutritious milk while 79 goats from Australia have been imported for meat purpose.
Likewise, Finance Ministry’s Spokesperson Madhu Sudan Pokharel informed that Nepal would receive 1 billion USD concessional loan and 12 million USD technical assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB) within three years.
On the occasion, spokespersons from Ministry of Health and Populations, Office of Comptroller General, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, Office of Auditor General had also briefed about the performance of their respective ministries and agencies. RSS
