Dhankuta, June : The District Agriculture Development Office has distributed farming tools and implements to the quake – stricken farmers for enhancing the agro products through use of hi-tech modern equipment.
The farmers with red identity cards from different parts of the district received six different types of tools through National Reconstruction Fund at the recommendation of the Ministry of Agricultural Development.
A total of 146 agro tools were distributed to the farmers with 90 per cent discount in offer, according to the Agriculture Development Office, Dhankuta.
Six mini tillers, five thresher machines and 10 corn shedding machines among other farming implements were handed over to the farmers.
As per the verified data available with the National Reconstruction Authority, there are a total of 2,796 households affected by the earthquake in the district.
