10 buffaloes die from red urine in Baitadi

krishilogoBaitadi, May 25: As many as 10 buffaloes have died from the problem of blood in urine (bloody urine) in Baitadi. Cattle have started suffering from various health problems including red urine due to prolonged drought, said a local Manorath Bhattarai. The disease has so far caused deaths of 10 buffaloes at Sakar Ladauli of Patan Municipality.
District Livestock Service Office Baitadi’s livestock development officer Devidutta Bhatta said cattle were deprived of green grass during the drought and got affected with the problem of bloody urine. This disease is curable in case of if timely treatment, but farmers have complained that treatment is not easily accessible in the district.
