Biratnagar : Chief Minister of the Province No. 1 Sher Dhan Rai has said that the province government has forwarded the programmes by keeping the agriculture sector in top priority. At an interaction programme on role of government and private sectors in development of agriculture sector organized here Sunday, Chief Minister Rai argued that the burgeoning trade deficit could be reduced through increased agricultural productions by the use of modern agricultural inputs and application of new technology.
Rai said that herbs, vegetables and food items along with the cash crops could be the basis for self-reliant in agriculture in the province adding that the province government has already addressed the priorities needed for the development of agriculture sector through its policy and programmes.
