Parasi, Nov. 29: Four best farmers in Nawalparasi district have been given milking machines from the District Livestock Office to facilitate them for better business. The milking machines received from the Department of Livestock were handed over to the farmers for health and hygiene reasons.
Gopal Shrestha, Dadhiram Subedi, Padam Dhakal and Homnath Kandel of Mukundapur area in the district are the recipients of the milking machines. Mukundapur is the pocket area for milk production in the district. In Nawalparasi, there are a total of 72 organizations for the collection and sale of milking. The district produces as high as 63,000 metric tonnes of milk in a year.
