Revolutionary leader Bhim Dutta remembered in far-west

Bhimdatta pantBhimduttanagar, August 03: Farmer martyr and revolutionary leader Bhim Dutta Pant’s 63rd Memorial Day was marked by organising different programmes in the districts of far-west region on Sunday. Floral tribute was offered in a statue of Pant at Bagbazaar of Dadeldhura while an interaction programme on ‘Nepali Revolution and Martyr Bhim Dutta Pant’ was held. Likewise, selected farmers were also honoured.

Speaking at the programmes, speakers lauded the struggles waged by Pant for the cause of the farmers. They also expressed dissatisfaction saying that Pant’s sacrifices made in favour of peasants were not honoured. Born in Dadeldhura district in 1983 BS, leader Pant was murdered by then rulers in 2010 BS on the charge of treason. Likewise, CPN (UML) Kanchanpur district committee also organised a programme and garlanded the statue of Panta in Bhimdutta Municipality.
