Livestock death causes loss of Rs 490 million

Kathmandu, May 4: The massive death of livestock in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on April 25 caused loss of Rs 490 million. Similarly, food grains worth Rs two billion was damaged in the disaster, according to the preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Agriculture Development. The Ministry is resuming necessary services that were disrupted following the earthquake from tomorrow, said Ministry Under- Secretary Shreeram Ghimire.
