Sale of makhan increases in mahottari

Gaushala, Oct. 5: Sale of makhan, a kind of sweets made of milk has increased in various towns in Mahottari district due to the Kojagrat Parba (festival) celebrated in Mithila region. It is eaten during Kojagrat festival after two days and is also sent as gift to relatives. It is bought 2 kg to 100 kg in each house. It costs Rs. 400 to 550 per kg and sometimes as high as Rs. 600. Its transaction is mainly in Jaleswor, Gaushala, Bardibas, Matihani, Pipara, Manara, Samsi and Balawa of the district.
