Bhaktapur, Oct 21: An international vegetable market is to be constructed in the district. Minister of Industry Mahesh Basnet, after attending a greetings exchange and Deusi- Bhailo programme organized at Lokanthali by Madhyapur 16 Ward Committee on Tuesday, informed that a verbal agreement has been reached to open a vegetable market in unused 50 ropanis of land at a brick and tile factory located at Jagati area. Minister Basnet said that the government was expediting the process to the effect and that the vegetable market would be opened with JICA’s investment.
He further said that the government had also forwarded process for construction of a Hanumante road near the bank of Hanumante river. He said that discussion had also taken place to construct a heart center or a museum of ethnic communities at an unused 99 ropanis of land located at Sallaghari.On the occasion, Basnet, who also heads the Youth Association close to CPN (UML), said he has directed the youths to start a campaign to control corruption in the district.
