Dhangadi, Nov 12: The Agriculture Development Office, Kailali on Friday awarded three farmers with this year’s President Best Farmer Award. At a programme organized on the occasion of World Food Day here, poultry husbandry entrepreneur from Boradandi of Dhangadi, Bibek Bhatta, fruit vendor from Sugarkhal of Kailali, Naval Singh Rawal, and vegetable farmer from Goti of Attariya Municipality – 12, Mantri Rana, were conferred the award carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each and certificates.
Chief District Officer, Govinda Prasad Rijal, distributed the awards and stressed on need for everyone’s effort to develop agriculture into a respectable profession. Senior agriculture development officer, Yuvraj Pandey, urged the farmers to become aware of the need for agriculture’s commercialization.
